Introduction

Welcome to the island Schiermonnikoog !

"Rijsbergen" is a small hotel (on a "bed & breakfast" basis) established in a historic building with a south-facing terrace and surrounded by a tree-lined lawn. The building is situated on the eastern edge of the village (a 5-minute walk from the village center). The distance to the beach is about 2 kilometers (1 1/4 mile).

Your are welcome 365 days a year (provided you have reserved in advance).

We dispose over 14 double rooms, 2 rooms for four persons, 1 room for three persons and 1 one person room.
Bookings for Friday, Saturday and in holiday periods must be for a minimum of 2 nights (Easter, Whitsuntide, Ascension Day minimum of 3 nights).

All rooms have their own shower & toilet. Most double rooms are situated on the ground floor (in a new wing built in 1998). In addition use can be made of two livings rooms and -during the opening hours- of the house bar.

Rijsbergen primarily aims for individual guests and smaller groups. Unfortunately pets are not welcome. In the building smoking is not permitted. For groups of up to 40 people there is from November up to and including March -outside holiday periods- the possibility to rent the entire building.

Rijsbergen does not have restaurant facilities, merely breakfast and -on request- lunchpackages are being served. Within a short distance one can find -inside and outside- of the village several restaurants for lunch and dinner.
